Takiwatanga is the Maori word for Autism, meaning in her own space and time. This so perfectly describes how my daughter, Evie, experiences life on the Autism Spectrum. I’m passionate about sharing what daily life is like for our little family of three as we navigate the happiness, hilarity and heartache that goes hand-in-hand with special needs parenting.
I write, I share, hoping my words can help build a bridge of understanding between those touched by the world of Autism, and the rest of the world. We all have more in common than we think, and there are beautiful lessons to be learned from one another because of our differences.
